David and Elizabeth Sneek Peek

Here is a sneek peek at the pictures to come from David and Elizabeth's wedding at the L'Auberge de Sedona Resort in Sedona last weekend. They had one of the most beautiful, intimate weddings that I have ever seen! I hope that they have an amazing time in Europe on their honeymoon. Seriously, Paris in the fall? I'm SO jealous!!

I've been a bad little blogger lately! It's been for a good reason though! Lots of new,excting things going on! I the near future you can look for:

Okay, I am the first to admit that I can be a little clumsy from time to time... I am just lucky that it doesn't spill over into my professional life! But what happened this week was a freak accident that even I can't believe!

I was at Good Sam hospital visiting my grandmother who was in for heart surgery. My mom and I had already been at the hospital for 8 hours and so we decided to go home for the night. We had not walked 20 feet from her hospital room when I slipped in a small puddle of water and hit my knee on the tile! Next thing I know nurses are rushing me into the ER for X-Rays and I'm sitting there going "How did this happen?"

So after my long day, I had to spend a few more hours in the ER. Thankfully, nothing is broken and I should be fine soon. A few more days of crutches and limping and I'll be good to go! I am just glad that this happened now and not during wedding season! Just chalk it up to me being clumsy me!

Chris and Justine Engagement Session

It was an unbelievably hot day at the Desert Botanical Gardens, but I had a blast working with Chris and Justine! I am looking forward to their November wedding... even though we won't see Chris until then since he is leaving for boot camp in August and not returning until right before the wedding. Good luck Chris!

What's in a name?

I get asked frequently about how I came up with my business name. So I thought that I would post a blog about it...

My maiden name is Ivy (well, it was spelled Ivie, but making Ivy was easier) and my married last name is James. I loved Ivy and really didn't want to let it go when I got married but

didn't want to hyphenate my name (I'm a pretty modern girl but when it comes to marriage I am quite traditional!) When it came time to choosing a business name I thought that it would be the perfect way to incorporate my past with my present/ future!

And since no blog is complete without a picture, I am posting a picture of our "kid" Betty. You will come to know her quite well as she is a major part of our lives.
